Five stock habits that stop shelves running empty
Small, daily habits — and the SortPi alerts behind them — that keep your best sellers on the shelf.
An empty shelf is a sale walking out of the door. These five habits take minutes a day and catch most stock-outs before they happen.
1. Set a low-stock level for your best sellers
Give each fast-moving product a minimum. SortPi warns you on the dashboard the moment stock dips below it.
2. Receive every delivery in SortPi
Record purchases as they arrive, not at the end of the week. Your stock count is only as good as the last delivery you entered.
3. Count a few shelves every day
Instead of a dreaded full count, check a handful of products daily. Small differences are easy to explain; big ones never are.
4. Move stock between branches
If one branch is short and another is full, transfer stock instead of reordering. It's a few taps, and both counts stay right.
5. Read the stock report on Monday
Five minutes with the stock report shows what sold, what didn't, and what to reorder for the week ahead.
